Maysville Reunion a Success

The Tarvins gathered in Marysville, Kentucky, in October 2014 to celebrate 30 years of reunions. We had a great time visiting and getting to know our family history. Besides some touring, family members also took part in a cemetery documentation project and had our famous banquet, auction, and quilt raffle. Next year's reunion will be in Springfield, Illinois. Great Texas Reunion wraps up

Tarvins who gathered from 13 states to the reunion in Plano, Texas, have now wended their way back home after enjoying great Texas hospitality. We carry with us the memories of the Southfork Ranch (and Hotel), the beautiful Dallas Botanical Gardens, all decked out with Chihuly glass works and pumpkins, and the wonderful Museum of Biblical Art. We had a great time sharing family history getting to know cousins and kin from all over. After a successful banquet, auction, and quilt raffle, the celebrations died down and we all left with plans to attend next year's reunion in the Joplin, Missouri area.

Tarvins Gather in Texas

The 30th Tarvin Annual Reunion kicked off in Plano, Texas this week. Over 50 family members joined in the festivities.

Terre Haute Reunion Wraps Up

The 29th annual Tarvin Family Association reunion wrapped up Saturday evening in Terre Haute, Indiana. Family members from 14 states had gathered to learn about their Indiana cousins and have fun together. At Saturday's banquet, the auction of family crafts and memorabilia earned money for the association's genealogy projects. This year's beautiful quilt was won by Blanche Tribby of Mesa, Arizona, Line 11.
